Philip Graham 准教授

I graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA in Medieval History in 1993. After working and travelling for several years, I came to Toyama, Japan to work as an English language teacher. I worked in various institutions, teaching all age groups and levels.

After returning to the UK, I studied for a Masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I also worked at the University of St Andrews English Language Teaching department. I took up my current position at the University of Yamanashi in October 2014.

I am particularly interested in teaching communication skills, and helping students to find their English voice. The most important thing for any student in my class is to take part. If you are using the language in any way then you are improving. Hopefully, you will also enjoy yourself in the process.
